Sales order confirmation

We confirm receipt of each order by letter, fax or email. You will receive the invoice by mail after the delivery has been completed.

Data protection

As a matter of course, we promise to comprehensively protect your personal data following the legal regulations set forth in the UK data protection legislation. In addition, we guarantee that as a Garpa customer your address data will not be passed on to third parties. If you no longer wish to receive our offers in the future you may oppose our use of your data for advertising purposes.

Prices

All prices mentioned here are in GBP, including value added tax. For deliveries within the UK mainland, these prices include all costs for postage, packing and freight; in other words, shipment of all our items to your address is free of any additional charges. With an order from £ 4,000 we grant a discount of 5%, and from £ 8,000 a discount of 10% is given. These discounts are based on the total amount for a single order. They are valid for all orders made within a two-year period. In situations where delivery service is altered we reserve the right to adjust prices and deliverability. If the national VAT rate is changed, we reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly. Please appreciate that we cannot be held liable for errors in price quotations. E&OE policy applies. 

We offer the following payment methods: 

Payment in advance 

You transfer the invoice amount to our account in advance. After receipt of payment, your order will be processed immediately and despatched according to the delivery time. Please note that it may take a few days for the wire transfer to reach us, depending on your bank. 

Data processing in the context of orders 

During the ordering process in our online shop, you have the option of selecting a payment method. Payments are processed by the payment service provider Adyen (Adyen N.V., Simon Carmiggeltstraat 6-50, 1011 DJ Amsterdam, Netherlands). We have entered into an order processing agreement with Adyen in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. 

We transmit your IP address to Adyen for the purpose of fraud prevention and detection. All data is transmitted in encrypted form. Adyen collects and stores the data and only passes it on to those companies involved in the payment process. We do not collect or store the payment data.

Payment by credit card

When selecting the payment method ‘credit card’, personal data is automatically transmitted to Adyen. By selecting this payment option, you consent to the transfer of your personal data to our payment service provider required for payment processing and for identity and credit checks. The personal data transmitted to Adyen is usually the card type (Mastercard, VISA and American Express), name of the cardholder, card number, security code and expiry date.

When paying by credit card, the ‘3-D Secure’ procedure is used to confirm the identity of the purchaser via two-factor authentication. You have the option to revoke your consent to the handling of personal data at any time with effect for the future. Payment via Apple Pay 

If you use Apple Pay as your payment method, your payment information will be processed via Adyen. Apple Pay allows you to make secure and convenient payments using your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch.

When using Apple Pay, your payment data is transmitted to Apple and Adyen. This data includes information about your payment method as well as device-specific data required for authentication and payment processing.

Apple Pay uses tokenisation and biometric verification (such as Face ID or Touch ID) to protect your payments. Your actual card details are not stored on the device or shared with the merchant.

Payment via PayPal 

When selecting the payment method ‘PayPal’, personal data is automatically transferred to PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A., 5th floor, 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg). By selecting this payment option, you consent to the transfer of your personal data required for payment processing and for identity and credit checks. The personal data transmitted to PayPal is usually first name, surname, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, mobile phone number or other data required for payment processing. Personal data in connection with the respective order is also required to process the purchase agreement. 

The personal data exchanged between PayPal and us may be transmitted by PayPal to credit agencies. The purpose of this transmission is to check identity and creditworthiness. PayPal may pass on personal data to affiliated companies and service providers or subcontractors if this is necessary to fulfil the contractual obligations or if the data is to be processed on behalf of PayPal. 

You have the option to revoke your consent to PayPal handling your personal data at any time with effect for the future. The applicable data protection provisions of PayPal may be retrieved under: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.

Warranty

All our products come with a statutory two-year warranty. For all furniture and umbrellas, we guarantee for a full five years from the date of delivery that there are no defects in materials or workmanship, and we will otherwise remedy these free of charge in the case of normal private use. This even applies for ten years to the structural durability of non-folding furniture. 

Delivery

Delivery within the UK mainland is free of charge to your address as specified in your order. You will be notified in advance by our courier company. Delivery will be made either to the billing address or to a different delivery address specified by you, as requested. Furniture will be delivered usually within three weeks, unless a later delivery date is requested. 

Assembly

Almost all pieces of furniture are delivered completely assembled. Items that are not already assembled by our craftsmen will be put together on site, with all packing material taken back by Garpa, unless required to be sent via general cargo.

Checking the contents of the delivery

Please check the delivery immediately upon receipt, and inform us without delay, by phone to 01273 486 400, of any suspected delivery damages or manufacturing flaws. We will come up with a satisfactory solution as quickly as possible.

Unlimited right to return

Within one month after delivery you have the right to return any delivered items. However, we are sure you understand that special and individually manufactured items that you have specifically ordered are exempt from this policy. Please contact us to make arrangements for the collection which will be free of charge. 

Deliveries abroad: Spain, France, etc.

We will gladly deliver abroad to other countries in Europe if you have property outside the UK. Please enquire by phone about procedures and freight surcharges. 

Redeeming promotional vouchers

Promotional vouchers for orders placed by telephone or in the Garpa online shop are part of promotional campaigns and are issued with a voucher code, e.g. by email in a newsletter or by letter. To redeem the vouchers, please note the following conditions:

 A promotion voucher can only be redeemed in conjunction with a voucher code.
 Only one promotional voucher may be redeemed per order.
 A promotional voucher may not be combined with other discounts or our SALE offers.
 Promotional vouchers are not paid out in cash.
 Promotional vouchers are only valid during the specified promotional period and may not be redeemed later.

In the event of a complete cancellation of the purchase or complete withdrawal from an order in which a voucher was used, we are entitled to send the customer a voucher in the amount of the voucher amount used in the order and, if applicable, to refund the purchase price reduced by this voucher amount.

In the event of a partial cancellation of the purchase or a partial withdrawal from an order in which a voucher was used, we will proceed accordingly.

Reservations

All elements of the Garpa website - visual and audio, including relevant technologies - are protected by copyright. They are the exclusive property of Garpa. Any hypertext linking to the Garpa site through the use of framing or in-line linking technology is expressly prohibited. In any case, linking, even if it were tacitly accepted, must be discontinued upon simple request by Garpa.

Garpa cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from using the Internet, specifically from an interruption of the connection, a computer virus, outside interference or, generally speaking, in cases of force majeure as confirmed in court of law.
